NDG worked with decorated interior design firm Emery Design Associates to provide architectural and engineering design services for this full-scale renovation on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We facilitated combining several apartments to make one large home and office meeting space for a client who lives and works part-time in NYC. NDG also provided special inspections and filing services for this project.
Built-In Elegance
Somewhere between sleek and traditional, opulent and highly livable, the spaces in this home were reconfigured and engineered to accommodate the needs of this client and their growing family. Maintaining the Art Deco resonances of the existing apartments was a guiding aesthetic principle of this renovation.
Live-Work
Because the client required a specific live-work mutability for their home, partitions, lighting, and finishes were delineated to subtly differentiate between residential and work areas without disrupting the comfortable, plush feel.
