Hubbard Day School is a private special education program in Stamford, Connecticut. After the successful completion of the school’s NYC counterpart, Napach Design Group was tasked with designing the expansion of this location. Working with an entirely raw space, we collaborated closely with our mechanical and structural engineers to outfit this school building with new classrooms, communal areas, and state-of-the-art sensory gym, all with full ADA compliance.
Purposeful Design
This project was centered around being responsive to the specific needs of the student body, educators, staff, as well as parents. The spaces we created were designed intentionally to be amenable to special education instruction, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and behavioral therapy.
